Well made
January 9, 2021
First thing I noticed was the quality and the way it was tied. Should definitely last a while. Getting it wet this coming weekend . Perfect for all big tuna and other species. Wahoo would probably crush it
ProsCraftsmanship is excellent

With all the colors and weights available, these are great options for sending baits below the surface. Tuna and marlin love these. LOVE EM

I don't pelagic troll without them.
September 30, 2016
I troll heavy ones way back and light ones close. I have caught tuna, wahoo, blues, and mahi on these. Even had a hammerhead take one once. Fantastic.
ProsThey work. Blue, pink, and white are my favorites.

Joe Shute lures
April 4, 2016
I have been using Joe Shute lures since we were Giant fishing in NC over 10 years ago. It is great to see such a nice guy make a name for himself in our sport. He makes some of the best tuna lures available and the quality has improved instead of slipped like when most companies grow. Keep up the good work Joe!
Prosthese lures always seem to run true, amazing yet simple design.

They have taken over my spread. Just bought 6 more for this season. I wouldn't go to the canyons without them. I have met Captain Joe Shute and he stands by his product and I would do. They are the hot ticket now here in the Northeast and I will be buying more in the future. Get them in your spread in any color you can get your hands on. They truly do work. The variety of head size is very good. I like the heavier models the best but the 5 3/4 oz work great too.
ProsColor Options Head weight size options Durability They work like a charm

Shute Rules
March 5, 2015
Bought the heaviest version of the lure offered to troll at higher speeds (8-10 knots) to stay subsurface. It still breaks water in heavier chop, even moreso with a natural bait or soft plastic tail due to the extra drag signature. I will say this lure is a less expensive alternative to the 'other' brand with comparable quality. Runs as well and is also as productive as the alternative. Good buy, will be back for more.
ProsGood value, good selection of colors and sizes.
