GOM Yellowfin Candy
October 7, 2021
Always keep this popper with while fishing the deep water rigs in the GOM. Yellowfin love them, I always get several hookups and blow ups when throwing this lure. Purple is my go to color, also throw the blue.
ProsCasts a mile, good hooks, YFT candy
ConsBarracudas love them as well

The mouth/cup isn't very large, popping isn't as good. But, very strong and high quality product.

Took a chance
November 25, 2020
Took a chance on Ocean Tackle International. Was not disappointed the popper is built extremely well. In fact, I think it is over built in a good way. Far exceeded my expectations for the price. Was so impressed, i bought the smaller one then went directly to their site to see if I could cop more in different styles colors.
Prosextremely well built for the prices. Thick cables and hooks. Solid wood construction. Price

Alright lure
August 24, 2018
The lure worked great, swam good and made a nice splash, but after a whole day of throwing the paint had almost all chipped away and both eyes had came off. I also had 3 consecutive strikes, all of which I was unable to set the hook. I would recommend replacing the stock hooks with a size larger.

Seems good qualiry
December 11, 2016
Just received my new poppers and the finish is the first thing I noticed. It's seems very good, as does the hardware that comes with it. Can't wait to try them out on some fish down on my trip to Panama.

Great GT popper
November 15, 2016
These are great lures when just getting in to GT fishing. You will lose some lures fish the rocks and corals so befor learning how to get them away from the rocks i used to fish these a lot. Their still a great lure that i allways have a few of in my tackle box when i go ut in the boat or on the beach! I useally up grade the hooks now to something like Owner Stinger-76 Treble Hooks or the 66 version if you dotn want to spend to much on the hooks. it's good to get some really good splitt rings aswell! Cast greats and has a great popping action catching a lot of air and water !
ProsGood price! Casts well! Catches fish!
ConsYou might want to up grade the hooks and splitt rings, try using in line single hooks like a owners in line jobu hooks expensive but a great option for easier fish release!

Great AJ popper!

This past weekend I tossed this popper to hungry NC amberjack. They came up from 90' of water to crush this bad boy! It was nice that it came fully rigged with good OTI Raptor hardware, too.

Komodo Poppers
November 12, 2012
I use these poppers in both shallow, and deeper water reefs. The back weighted design makes them very efficient to cast, and when they hit the water sends them submarining and often triggers a strike immediatly. The hooks they ship with require no upgrading. I have had great success catching Red Snapper as well as Giant Trevally on them.
ProsCastability, solid hooks/hardware
ConsThe finish on them doesnt stand up well to the toothy fish I use them for. after the first 15-20 fish they are pretty torn up.
