fantastic action stripers seem to love hitting this plug .the weight distribution for casting is very good for a small plug. i did break the tail of on one due to casting and hitting rocks on jetty . But it as worth the price and i reordered 2 more . i have several other stick shad of different weights

Best walking and jerk bait
July 6, 2020
This is definitely my best walking and jerk bait. You can slowly retrieve and it swims S naturally and you can also twitch and jerk it, the action is amazing just like a real escaping baitfish.
ProsCatching fish, period!

Best Surf Fishing Bait I have ever used
September 13, 2019
The Stick Shadd is my number one go to bait for surf fishing and in shore fishing in Mexico. I have caught more quality and quantity of fish on this bait than any other bait. Works perfect out of the box. Great Hook strength and colors to meet all fishing applications.

Great Little Lure
October 19, 2018
I purchased the 114SK along with the 155SK. The 114 is a fantastic compact lure for when fish are feeding on smaller prey. It Casts great! I fish a lot from ledges and other elevated places and this lure stays in and tracks well, without rolling out and coming to the surface. It swims great on a straight retrieve. The stock hooks are very light and I do not recommend them for larger saltwater species. I replaced them with either 2 1/0 6X hooks or 1 3/0 treble on the belly alone. I've had tarpon up to 40lbs crush this lure when nothing else was getting noticed.
ProsCasting distance, durability, ease of use.
ConsThe stock hooks are very light. I definitely recommend changing them.

Excellent Lure
October 19, 2018
I have been using the 155SK for around a year and have been very pleased with it. It comes with good hardware (not great - So you may want to consider upgrading the hooks). I was happy with the longevity I got out of the stock hooks before the rusted out and lost their point. The lure itself is very durable. It has handled being banged against rocks and coral very well and shows minimal hook rash. As for the action, it swims great right out of the package on a straight retrieve. Give it a few twitches and it will dart from side to side easily. Very easy lure to operate.
ProsDurable, casts great, decent stock hooks.

This is one of my favorite freshwater lures. I love the natural Golden Shiner color. I have caught Bass, Pike and Perch on this lure. I do swap out the trebles for single inline hooks.
ProsExcellent darting movement.

A must have for the canal and a great color!!!!
September 3, 2018
This color is so cool with it's glow in the dark bones. The plug has amazing swimming action and the fast sink will quickly get you into the strike zone. Always helps to pull off the back hook and upgrade the split ring and belly hook. great plug!!!!!!

this plug flat out catches. I, like most, remove the tail hook, and upgrade the belly hook with a stronger split ring and hook. you can't go wrong with this stick shadd...incredible action in the water!!!

Very nice Stick
January 13, 2018
Did not know the S├┬ębile lures, and this one has become one of my favorite for the Caribbeans. The sinking version casts very well and swims amazingly. Love it. Just lost it on first trip to a nice grouper and a few rocks...
ProsCasts and swims very well

Great plug for rocky areas
January 9, 2018
These suspending lures are great in rocky areas. They dart like crazy with small movements of your rod tip. I like these better that the sinking or quick sinking versions which work better for me in the areas I fish since they are less likely to get hung up. They also cast pretty well.
ConsWeak tail hook area. This is a well known issue with the Stock Shads which often break in this area

Payed out the first trip!
October 23, 2016
I bought the 28gr suspending and the 39 gr sinking version to try them both out as well as a fast sinking 116 gr one. The first 2 ones I have just used them 3 times now fishing for bass, perch, zander and pike. So far the fast sinker has been the best but I think that is because of the low temperatures and the fact we have to fish deep. Had a day with warmer temperatures and the normal sinking one fished amazing. Easy to get a nice side to side movement I do like the suspend one will have to wait until the summer to see how well it works. Overall great baits will have a good time testign them further!
