April 4, 2022
When am looking for a rod for my tuna trip .I search to this site and discuss with so many other anglers for the opinion. But I can't confirm what I need for my reel and with in my budget. Afte that I talk with the customer care person with tackledirect and he helped me with rod .really appreciate for the your help and they are really knowledgeable people .this rod looks so thin and feels like not strong .but it's strong and easy to use .it UT my 85000 reel and it's works so prefect.realky worth for each money .100 % recommended for big game fish

Light and powerful

Usually pair this with a 2500 Stradic and it's light enough to jig all day without tiring my shoulder. Good sensitivity and plenty of backbone.

Having used it since August, almost once a week. Capable of everything, from porgies to cods, from 25 feet to 220 feet of water, equipped with different size of reels. Not a single issue happened.

Great quality for the price!
November 29, 2019
purchased the TVS66MH2 and have used it for close to 5 months on numerous trips. Love that it is a 70/30 2 pc which makes transporting it a bit easier, especially when the rod if being flown and there's usually a max length requirement. It's also quite durable as its fallen onto concrete, hit rocks, dropped on deck plenty of times, etc... and considering it's price, i'd say it's a great buy! Currently have it paired with a daiwa 5000 bg and it works nicely.

Great Rod for pier/bridge fishing for snook.
February 4, 2019
This is hands down the best rod I have ever used for catching snook off of bridges and piers using live baits. Great soft tip action to feel the thump of the hit and the backbone to pull them out from the pilings. I use the spin 7 ft ML with 30lb braid and it can handle most snook. If I am targeting bigger fish, I then use the 6.6 M with 50lb braid. Cant say enough about these rods especially for the price.
Prossoft tip with great backbone

Stunning Rods
February 5, 2018
I have used the 7ft Medium-light and the 6.6ft Medium heavy for years and they are great. I use them on the kayak for jigging and throwing lures for tuna, mackerel, GT's and much more. Never had one fail. Very light but strong rods.
Proslight and strong
Conseyes are on the light side. Not an issue on a boat but can get banged up in the hatch of a kayak

TVS60H - Great rod for heavier jigs and big fish
January 2, 2018
I bought the TVS60H for wreck jigging in the Keys. This model is heavier and stouter than the 66MH I also have so it's better for the bigger jigs. It's still quite sensitive and light, but isn't great for light jigs. It handled blackfin tuna, large cudas, and medium AJ's no problem. I did still get smoked a few times though but not because of the rod! A dedicated jigging rod is so much nicer than trying to make due with a regular rod. The performance of the Trevalas for the price is unbelievable.

Great Rod for the price!
May 12, 2017
I really like the Trevala jigging rods from Shimano. I use them primarily for bottom fishing on the east coast party boats for sea bass fluke and cod fishing and pier fishing. The strength and sensitivity as well as the light weight and reasonable cost makes them my favorite choice. I have two of these rods and they fit my style of fishing.

This rod had me weary of its weight at first but quickly made me a believer after jigging up a couple grouper in the Tortugas. Very light which keeps you from getting fatigued but enough backbone to land a big fish.

this rod was made for braded line and I have 30# on the reel. The rod was the perfect this week with the schoolie dolphin we caught. I also intended to use it for float back for yellowtail in the florida keys, this is the second one that we have bought because we liked it so much.

Just reeled in a 5' shark on Trevalli jigging rod and braid witb drag full tight Rod bent almost in half reeling in, but never snapped. Even Got the shark all the way back up to the boat for video.
ProsLOVE the smaller width handle, love the lightweight feel, and butt length built better for a woman.s hands and shorter reach
ConsCan wear your back out if out of shape but probly could put a stronger reel on and do better, faster

I am using this rod as a bottom fishing rod, instead of a jigging rod and I find it is perfect for my purpose. I usually fish on party boats for inshore species. This rod has a soft tip that is soft enough to feel the small nibble from a porgy and a strong back bone to fight large striped bass. I paired ti with a Shimano STCI44000FA Stradic CI4 Plus Spinning Reel, the whole setup is very light and I'm happy with it.

You don't have to be concerned is this rod going to perform.Shimano has put their name on it and they didn't get to the confidence level their at by putting a faulty rod on the market. I currently own seven Shimano rods and would not change one.

Since i purchased this rod ive put it through a lot.. Ive caught rays over one hundred pounds 'pulled twenty plus inch grouper out of huge goliath groupers mouth and nearly won the tug of war with numerous other unknown gargantuons of the deep.I paired it with a Penn seven thousand Conquer and fifty pound braid.
Pros Strong. Good finish. Durable grip material
