Stormr Casting Gloves
I purchased 3 pairs of the neoprene casting gloves and I'm very disappointed.. We fish IBSP (NJ) shore and weather condition in the thirty's . Our finger tips became numb with 20 minutes and we had to change into $3.99 pair of fishing gloves and our hands were warmer .. I can recommend this product. I have a call into Stormr Customer service.

Sent back to Stormr within 3 months
I wore thru the kevlar fingertip on my casting hand in less than 3 months and some of the other seams around the thumb are beginning to separate. I sent them back to Stormr even though I can't find my receipt for the $35 I paid hoping they will see the obvious deficiency. I will update this post with their response.

Great when you need them
This is definitely a cold cold weather glove. It is bulky and takes some getting used to when casting but functions the way it's intended. Keeps your hands warm in those cold weather months even if the glove gets soaking wet.
ProsWarm Casting finger is reinforced
Consa bit bulky and the seams running along the fingers sometimes stick to each other but this not something that would prevent me from wearing them when the extra warmth is needed

First few times out were Ok. Dry but not too warm. But now after about 6 trips on the beach they are not water proof any more. Very disappointed.

I like these but they aren't very durable. The fingers on the gloves seem to wear extremely fast. I wish they were a bit more durable. They are alright overall for cold days when you need to keep warm while fishing.

Solid but not great
These gloves are a pretty solid cold weather option. They are not the end all be all of gloves however. The gloves run pretty tight so you should order a size up. I have also noticed the kevlar is really just as tough to feel the line with as another pair of all neoprene gloves i have. In fact i might be tougher to actually feel the line through the kevlar. Personally i dont enjoy the kevlar tips as much as i thought and i think it makes my finger tips colder. I have also noticed they get a little slippery when i use them to pull the anchor line. I have really like all the stormr products i've used, in fact their neoprene socks are one of my favorite purchases ever! But these were a bit of a disappointment to me. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Still a good glove, but just not great.
ProsGood Flexibility. Waterproof warm
Constight fit a little slippery when they get wet

Kevlar for braid is a must
Nice gloves, fit is a little tight (XL). Kevlar material on index and thumb for casting either conventional or spinning. No issues so far, surf fishing in DE.
ProsKevlar where it's needed, warm.
ConsFit is a little snug for an XL..

Can't cast with them and not warm
Please do not waste you money on these. I bought them last year just before the fall run thinking they would keep my hands warm. Not the case. My fingers start to freez in about 15 minutes. They are waterproof, but once you put your hand in the water, your frozen. I also dont know whats the point of putting kevlar on the fingers if you are going to glue the seams. When casting, which these globes are supposably ment for, the line gets stuck on the glue and you cant cast. Very disappointed, please don't buy them.
ProsLook nice
ConsMy hands are freezing Line gets caught on the seam when casting

Good Glove, tight fingers
I have only used these a few times so far, and have liked them to this point. The neoprene fits well and is snug enough that you are able to fish in them. The one issue I have had is that the fit may be a bit too snug, and my fingers get a bit colder than I had hoped, which I believe comes from the tighter fingers. If I bought them again, I might get a size bigger than I measured out to be as a result.
ProsGenerally Warm Water proof Fishable
ConsTight fingers / joints

Stormr cast glove
Glove has great potential fit is excellent would be the go to glove if it wasn't for the seam tape owing free and allowing water in and exposing finger. This happened on my second time wearing them (4 hour fishing session!) may of been a one off as the rest of my stormr gear is bulletproof I would of sent them back but when you take into account the freight costs to Australia a $30 pair of gloves end up costing $70.
ConsTaped seams giving way far to early

Love these Gloves
This is my second pair. I dropped one while in the middle of a bluefish blitz and didn't realize it till I got to my car. Other wise I'd still be on my original pair. they are comfortable, keep your hands, warm and are great with casting braid.
ProsWarm, Functional

Warm, not bulky
keeps you nice and warm. can still feel what your grabbing unlike other neoprene gloves.
Prosfull kevlar tinger tip. unlike other brands that have kevlar only on one side. this kevlar tip wraps around the entire finger tip. if your someone with a finger that bends in an odd way or you trap the line on a part of your finger aother than the fingerprint side its great! even if you dont fit that demographic its still good. full tread on the palm and fingers. longer wrist sleeve to tuck under or pull over your surf top sleeve.
Consthe price is a little high for me, but obviously not too high since I bought them. not sure how long the liquid tape on the seams are going to last.

Stormr Cast Glove
They are warm and work well when wet. Like that they have a long cuff, wetsuit sleeve can cover them. Able to cast.
ProsWarm in the water. Length.

an all around perfect glove. keeps you warm, keeps your casting finger safe. it comes with the fabric but of course can be a little tough to gauge where your line is when casting a bail-less reel but they still work wonders.
