Great Lure for Tarpon!
May 2, 2020
I just got back from Boca Grande and hooked some real nice ones of these WildEye lures! The bunker seemed to work great for late afternoon... highly recommended if you're looking for something to mimic live fish when you don't have livebait

Love these baits
February 9, 2020
I have these in several sizes. We through them off our dock for schoolie rockfish and we troll the larger sizes with a #1 or #2 plainer. These are tough baits and the hooks are strong.

Throw it out and let it sink to the bottom. Steady retrieve and a twitch sometimes, fish on...
ProsGreat for winter since the tail does not creat huge action.

Storm!
November 18, 2019
When I was getting into fishing these things put me on the fish, in the 3-4inch versions these things caught me countless schoolies. The action and pattern on these work for me. I’ve tried tsunami’s but they just dont produce as much as these storms

I’ve never really fished shads too much before but recently I started using them more and more. I am pleased to say that I’ve been crushing schoolies up to 26” with them. They have a great action and good hooks too.

Productive!
July 16, 2019
I really like this swim bait. When fishing where there are both white and black bass they are awesome.
ProsGreat action. Very natural. Very good and sharp hooks.
ConsThe bottom wears out and will peel. Mostly from the rocky bottoms if making alot of contact. At the end of the day I glue the loose cut areas back together with super glue gel and they are virtually good as new again.

Great for Snapper and Snooks
January 6, 2019
I’ve used this lure to fish snappers and snooks in Central America. They are very effective and can last you 3 - 5 bites.
ProsDurables and sharp hooks, which makes it harder for fish to get unhooked

Storm plastics are killer for big Stripers
November 25, 2018
Whether casting into the surf or vertical jigging from a boat these lures work great. I favor the gold/tan version since it closely mimics the local bunker. I used to fish the littler ones but the bigger lures really attract the cows and help cull out the shorts.
ProsSuper realistic swimming action Great color and super sinking action
ConsOne good bluefish hit and the bait is likely shreadded.

Go to lure
July 6, 2018
They’re 5 inches, they’re pearl in color and I’ve caught many a fish with them. I have many lures in my surf bag and at the end of many a day on the water I ask myself, “Why did I schlep so many lures around ? I just should have brought the Storm shad. “
ProsInexpensive. Life like movement
ConsLight in weight so they?re not always the best to cast into the wind

Great Swim Shads
April 1, 2018
Favorite swim shad in smaller sizes. Bit softer plastic them other brands, but swimming action is better in my opinion. Hooks could be a bit stronger for saltwater heavier fish but get the job done most of the time.

Quality has been off
November 13, 2017
Fish love these, but the quality has been lacking recently. Out of a 3 pack, one came missing an eye, and another shad lost its eye within a few casts. The third shad had so much excess plastic from the mold still on it that I had to cut it off so it didn't affect how it swam.
ProsThe bodies of the shads are softer than Tsunami's, so they have much more pronounced tail movement, but they're also very quickly destroyed by a single bluefish or a couple larger fluke. For stripers they're perfect.

Storm Shad for Rockfish
December 10, 2016
I use these Storm shads on tandem trolling rigs for striped bass in the Chesapeake Bay. I order a larger size of the same pattern to allow the rig not to tangle. These work well spring and fall.

Storm Shad for the Bass
June 13, 2016
I love 6" Storm Shad when fishing for Striped Bass. If blues are around, they get pretty torn up, but this is difficult to avoid with any soft bait. The Storm Shad have a slightly wider profile than the Tsunami, and work better in slower moving water.

Storm WildEye 6" Swim Shad
March 1, 2016
Swim them in the surf or bounce them off the rocks this swim shad flat out works! Use when the fish won't take your favorite plug or are tight mouthed, they will hit this lure! My favorite color is the bunker and white.
ProsGreat all around bait in the back bays or faster water.
ConsHooks can be straightened, so set the drag and play the fish.

Great bait
June 3, 2015
This is my go to bait when it comes to fresh water striper fishing. I use this bait for casting and trolling umbrella rigs. The hooks are very strong and the soft plastic holds up very well on multiple fish strikes. the only time I have to replace one is because of break off due to structure, not because of the bait getting worn. The action is incredible. Fishing dock lights at night I have been able to swim this bait along other baitfish and can't tell which is real and which is my bait.

The Premier Soft Plastic
December 6, 2014
Nothing beats a 3, 4 or 5 inch Storm Shad on the Chesapeake for stripers. Use the chartreuse color more than any other, although the bunker, pearl and shad are also fantastic producers for stripers. Unfortunately, bluefish tear these lures to ribbons, but that's an occupational hazard and one worth taking.

October 5, 2014
These baits are awesome! I use this almost exclusively while striper fishing. I rig them on umbrella rigs and cast them single. I have never been skunked using this lure. The body's are a soft plastic but are decently durable. I have had to replace one or two every once in a while but with how cheap they are it's not a problem.
